Steps, Reunited.

In the car on the way home tonight, I woke up to “Deeper Shade of Blue” playing on my iPod.

Steps. I loved this British pop band’s feel-good, teen love-themed songs with upbeat techno beats. I grew up listening to them, including their many other contemporaries: Aqua, S Club 7, Spice Girls, Atomic Kitten.

This year Lee, Claire, Lisa, Faye, and Ian have come together and formed as a complete band once again, after ten long years. Known as the ABBA of the 90’s, their latest album: The Ultimate Collection has shot to number 1 in the UK Album Charts this year. They will begin touring again next April.

They also appear to be the only the existing girl-boy pop group today. It’s like Steps have time-travelled, to introduce to the younger ones what music was like in the 90s.
